Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ty Wong!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Wong scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bass manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Bass wants to take a breather but Wong is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bass is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wong is just riding it out for now. Bass eventually gives up the hold.

Bass is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wong defends it well.
Bass takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Bass has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wong has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bass should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Wong has tightened it up now! Bass should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ty Wong decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
