Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Cas (ranked 25371 p4p, 6448 weight class) and Peter Thunder (ranked 602 p4p, 575 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Cas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Thunder! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunder ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Cas throws a hook but Thunder blocks it. Cas lands a head kick. Thunder smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Cas scores with a kick to the body.
Cas misses with a hook. Thunder ducked under it nicely. Cas scores with a spinning back kick! Cas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Cas misses with a hook. Thunder tries a head kick but it misses.
Thunder fails in his attempt to clinch. Cas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cas lands with a slapping head kick. Thunder doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Thunder will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Cas. Cas throws a leg kick which misses Thunder's front leg but catches the back leg as Thunder tries to avoid it. An inside leg kick lands from Cas. A solid leg kick lands there for Cas.

Thunder changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Cas blocks a head kick by Thunder.
Cas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Thunder moves to clinch but Cas breaks away and Cas counters with a one-two to the body. Cas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Thunder takes a swing at Cas's ribcage but misses. A nice combination there by Cas.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cas looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cas lands a leg kick that knocks Thunder off balance momentarily. Cas leaves Thunder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cas scores with a nice body kick.
Cas keeps the fight on the outside. Thunder blocks a head kick by Cas.
Thunder swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Cas throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Cas is breathing heavily. Thunder gets in close and instigates a clinch. Thunder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Thunder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cas pinned against the cage. Cas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rob Cas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Thunder.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cas with a body punch. A glancing blow. Thunder moves out of range as Cas strikes. Thunder has Cas up against the cage in a clinch.

Thunder throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cas blocks it with crossed arms. Thunder has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cas uses from the top position. Thunder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Thunder lands a nice short elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Cas dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Thunder looks for a takedown but Cas sprawls well. Cas plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Cas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Thunder steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Cas. Thunder throws a head kick but Cas moves out of range.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Thunder. Cas quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Rob Cas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Thunder. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking body kick lands there for Cas. Cas scores with a body shot.

Thunder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cas avoids it really well and circles away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cas throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
This has been an exciting period of action! Thunder fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Thunder moves into the clinch. Cas dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Cas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thunder tries to work over Cas's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Thunder pressing his opponent against the cage. Thunder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A big right from Cas misses. A clash of legs there as Cas blocks the low kick. Thunder with a poor takedown and Cas counters with a big head kick but Thunder shrugs it off. Thunder has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cas. Cas misses with an attempted mid kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Thunder is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Thunder has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Cas. Thunder is trying to drag Cas to the mat but Cas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. And that is the end of the round. Cas lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A head kick misses from Cas. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thunder fails with the takedown and Cas counters with a head kick. Thunder tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cas swivels and escapes. Rob Cas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Thunder. Thunder is looking to clinch. Rob Cas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thunder stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cas. Cas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Thunder can do to turn this around? No luck for Thunder with that takedown attempt. Peter Thunder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thunder throws out the jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Cas showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
