The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bamboo Face avoids the body shot from Kodjia.
Kodjia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bamboo Face.
Kodjia misses with an uppercut.
Bamboo Face takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bamboo Face has been working on his boxing with his coaches at PSE in the buildup to the fight.
Kodjia steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bamboo Face.
Bamboo Face takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Ubungu Bamboo Face has been cut.
Bamboo Face throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kodjia.
Kodjia throws a body shot but no joy.
Kodjia throws a shot to the body.
Bamboo Face throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bamboo Face misses with a jab to the body
and Kodjia counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kodjia connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bamboo Face throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bamboo Face sets himself, and Kodjia steps forward looking for the clinch! Bamboo Face avoids it this time.
Bamboo Face fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kodjia manages to avoid it.

Kodjia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kodjia lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A low kick lands for Kodjia.
Kodjia fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bamboo Face staying out of range there.
Bamboo Face appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Kodjia fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bamboo Face throws an off balance right hand
and Kodjia counters with a straight right hand.
Ubungu Bamboo Face's cut is getting worse.
Sammy Kodjia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bamboo Face moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bamboo Face stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kodjia.
Kodjia feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bamboo Face sprawling to the canvas! Bamboo Face rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kodjia finish him?!
Bamboo Face is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bamboo Face swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kodjia throws a shot to the body.
Bamboo Face is breathing heavily.
Kodjia comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kodjia cracks Bamboo Face with a hook to the temple - Bamboo Face is on wobbly legs here! Kodjia swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Bamboo Face falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kodjia wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sammy Kodjia!
