Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Major Payne (ranked 5970 p4p, 4772 weight class) and Kevin Taylor (ranked 577 p4p, 525 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Major Payne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws an off balance right hand
and Taylor counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Taylor looks to throw a body kick
and Payne counters with a stiff right hand.
Taylor moves out of range as Payne strikes.
Payne fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Taylor on the side of the head.
Taylor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Taylor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Payne defends it well.
Payne lands with an overhand left.
Payne's jab looks to have found its range, popping Taylor under the eye.
Payne throws a hook to the side of Taylor's head but Taylor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A telegraphed right hand from Payne misses the target.
Taylor throws a big shot that misses.
Taylor uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Payne.
Taylor shoots and misses
and Payne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taylor fails with a takedown attempt.
Payne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Taylor.
Payne tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Taylor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Payne wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Taylor is looking to work some ground and pound but Payne has wrist control.
Taylor advances position into side control!
Payne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground.
Taylor just content to control the position.
Taylor lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Payne down.
Payne avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Taylor.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here.
Taylor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Payne, who protects the arm well.
Payne defending against the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taylor is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Taylor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Payne to his feet.
Payne misses with an uppercut.
Payne avoids the head kick by Taylor.
Taylor takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Taylor throws a head kick but Payne moves out of range.
Taylor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Payne manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Payne is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Taylor dives into side control.
Payne wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is dominant here and he's now got Payne's back!
Payne is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Taylor is cranking Payne's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Payne! He's tightened the choke and Payne is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kevin Taylor!
