Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Saul Goodman (ranked 4553 p4p, 4435 weight class) and Dan Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan has chosen Wellerman (Sea Shanty) as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Saul Goodman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Morgan! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Morgan. Morgan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Goodman quickly recovers to half guard. Goodman pushes Morgan off and gets back to his feet. Dan Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morgan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Morgan is taking a breather. Goodman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Goodman trying to control but Morgan postures up.
Morgan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Goodman defends it well. Goodman looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Goodman looking for submissions off his back. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Goodman regains full guard. Nicely done. Morgan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Goodman is adopting a defensive guard. Goodman being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Let's hope that Morgan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Goodman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Morgan throws a right and a left that Goodman avoids nicely. Goodman tries to clinch but Morgan moves out of range. Morgan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Goodman did well to prevent Morgan getting side control. Goodman kicks off Morgan and gets to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morgan to score an easy takedown into full guard. Goodman pushes Morgan off and scrambles back to his feet.
Goodman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Morgan defends well and Goodman ends up having to push Morgan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Goodman is breathing heavily. Morgan is trying to trip Goodman. He has hold of a leg but Goodman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Morgan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Morgan lands a couple of digs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Morgan won't allow Goodman to sweep him here. Morgan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goodman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Goodman is working an open guard so Morgan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goodman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Morgan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Morgan moves out of range as Goodman throws a body kick.
Morgan tries to bum rush Goodman with a series of wild strikes but Goodman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Morgan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Goodman is out of range. Morgan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Goodman to the mat! Goodman manages to get full guard. Morgan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Morgan drops back looking for a leg! Goodman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goodman manages to kick Morgan off! Morgan jumps back into Goodman's guard. Morgan won't allow Goodman to sweep him here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Saul Goodman will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Morgan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Goodman on his heels. He'll look to pass Goodman's guard now, I'm sure. Morgan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Morgan working some strikes from top position. Goodman has momentary wrist control but Morgan slips an elbow through the middle. Morgan sitting in guard, not really doing much. Morgan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Goodman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Morgan's guard.
Saul Goodman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Goodman forces his way into half guard. Goodman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Morgan defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Morgan is trying to maintain the position but Goodman is very close to passing his half guard. Goodman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Goodman tries to close the distance and clinch but Morgan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Goodman has his takedown stuffed and Morgan counters with a series of strikes. Goodman will be more careful next time no doubt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morgan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Morgan is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan landing with the ground and pound. Morgan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Morgan lands a couple of decent looking shots. Morgan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Morgan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Morgan tries to free his leg and advance position but Goodman is retaining full guard. Morgan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodman has momentary wrist control but Morgan slips an elbow through the middle. Morgan sitting in guard, not really doing much. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Morgan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Goodman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Morgan as he avoids it easily. Despite the aggression on Morgan's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Goodman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morgan to score an easy takedown into full guard. Goodman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Goodman keeping full guard, as Morgan tries to pass. Morgan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Morgan lands a couple of digs. Goodman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Morgan works a leg free and moves into half guard. Morgan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Morgan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan stands up out of the half guard. Morgan throws a nice looking combination but Goodman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Saul Goodman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Morgan dives in and scores a takedown into Goodman's guard. Morgan preventing the sweep. Morgan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goodman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Morgan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Morgan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goodman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morgan has managed to get both his arms back between Goodman's legs - danger averted. Morgan scoring with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Morgan lands a couple of decent looking shots. Morgan stands and steps away. Goodman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Morgan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Morgan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Morgan wants to work for an arm triangle but Goodman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Morgan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Goodman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Morgan is in Goodman's guard. Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goodman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Morgan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Morgan cracks Goodman with a solid left hand. Goodman being controlled here, momentarily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Morgan's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Morgan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Morgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
