PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Lauzier (ranked 3778 p4p, 5930 weight class) and Naruto Uchiha (ranked 472 p4p, 607 weight class). Naruto Uchiha struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauzier lands a head shot.
Uchiha shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lauzier slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Uchiha shoots and misses
and Uchiha takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lauzier stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Uchiha closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Uchiha wants to clinch up but Lauzier keeps it at a distance.

Lauzier stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lauzier wants it to stay on the feet.
Lauzier attempts a counter takedown but Uchiha avoids it well and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lauzier lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Uchiha will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Uchiha looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gabriel Lauzier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naruto Uchiha.
Lauzier cracks Uchiha with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Uchiha takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Uchiha misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Lauzier bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Uchiha's head.
Uchiha takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Lauzier drops Uchiha with a straight right hand, right on the button! Lauzier follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
