Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Munt (ranked 4418 p4p, 4631 weight class) and Marquis Chriss (ranked 156 p4p, 0 weight class). Marquis Chriss is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Munt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marquis Chriss! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Damien Edna and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munt looks to score with a jab to the body but Chriss is just out of range. Chriss dodges the punch combination from Munt.
Munt misses with a double jab.
Munt tries a low kick but Chriss avoids it. A nice side step and Chriss releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Munt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chriss gets a double leg takedown into Munt's guard. Munt wriggles free and stands up. A left and a right from Munt both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Marquis Chriss has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chriss circles away from the clinch attempt.
Munt misses with a two punch combination.
Munt throws a half hearted mid kick. A telegraphed right hand from Munt misses the target. Chriss shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Munt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Chriss showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chriss wants to control from the top but Munt keeps moving. Chriss content to stall in guard here. Munt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Munt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Munt keeping moving, preventing Chriss from controlling successfully. Chriss with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Chriss landing some decent shots from guard. Chriss won't allow Munt to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Munt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Chriss prevents Munt from getting back to his feet. Chriss trying to control the position from guard on top but Munt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Munt wants to sweep but no luck. Chriss content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Munt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Chriss stopping the sweep attempt from Munt. Munt wants to stand but Chriss is controlling the position. Munt has momentary wrist control but Chriss slips an elbow through the middle. Chriss is in close to Munt's body, working some short punches and elbows. Munt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Munt working a defensive guard but Chriss manages to pass into side control anyway.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Check out the look on Chriss's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Munt is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chriss is looking to take a break and control but Munt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chriss tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Chriss in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Chriss trying to control the action but Munt is working from the bottom. Chriss has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Munt sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Chriss is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Chriss scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Chriss thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Munt's head. Munt wants to improve his position but Chriss is controlling well.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Munt throws a right and a left that Chriss avoids nicely. Munt tries to clinch there but Chriss circles away.
Chriss takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Chriss throws a right hand that Munt ducks under and follows up with a left that Munt also avoids with ease. Chriss misses with a body shot.
Chriss fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Munt, pushing him back against the cage. Munt misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Chriss is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Munt breaks from the clinch.
Munt tries to clinch but Chriss is having none of it. Munt throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chriss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munt connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Munt drops Chriss with a left right combo! Munt follows him down to the ground into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chriss manages to work his way to half guard, despite Munt's best efforts. Chriss holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munt thows a huge punch but Chriss dodges it nicely.
Chriss is looking to escape. Munt missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Munt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Chriss gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Munt is just content to waste time from the top position. Chriss takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Chriss is looking to stand up but Munt isn't so interested in that idea. Munt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chriss can do to turn this around? Chriss is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Chriss is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Munt trying to control the position from guard on top but Chriss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bob Munt is winning the standup battle so far. A swing and a miss from Munt. Munt tries to clinch there but Chriss circles away.
Munt moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Chriss closes the distance and pushes Munt back into the cage. Chriss tries to score a body lock takedown but Munt shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Chriss is breathing heavily. Chriss drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Munt gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bob Munt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marquis Chriss. Chriss wants to take the fight to the mat but Munt manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Munt scores with an uppercut up the middle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Munt lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Chriss can't get the takedown.
Munt tries to break free but Chriss pushes him back against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Munt. Munt stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Munt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Munt misses with some punches.
Munt lands a right hand. A right hook to the body lands for Munt.
Munt throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Munt lands a shoulder strike. Munt digs a right hand into Chriss's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Chriss's gas tank. A nice left hand lands by Munt.

Bob Munt dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Marquis Chriss's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Munt throws a series of punches but Chriss avoids them all with ease. Chriss looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Chriss fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Munt, pushing him back against the cage. Chriss drops down looking for an ankle pick but Munt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Munt scores with a jab to the jaw. Bob Munt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Munt lands a jab to the head.

Munt is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munt tries to score with a low kick but Chriss moves his leg out of the way. Chriss takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Munt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chriss postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chriss content to stall in guard here. Chriss drops back looking for a leg! Munt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Munt manages to kick Chriss off! Chriss jumps back into Munt's guard. Munt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chriss is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chriss working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Munt's head. Munt looking to control.
Marquis Chriss has got the better of the ground game so far. Munt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Chriss wants to control from the top but Munt keeps moving. The fighters are working up against the cage. Munt manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Munt is trying to break the clinch but Chriss is controlling him. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Munt is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Chriss has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Munt regains guard immediately. Chriss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bob Munt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Chriss trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Chriss with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Munt wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Munt is looking to stand up but Chriss isn't so interested in that idea. Munt forces Chriss back against the cage and clinches. Chriss has clasped his hands together around Munt's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Munt struggling a bit here. Munt is pushing Chriss's head away, looking to escape. Chriss manages to hold on to the position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munt tries to get back to half guard but can't. Chriss working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Marquis Chriss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Munt has one of Chriss's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Munt. I think Munt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
