Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruslan Karelin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 31 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bull Mfer! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mfer moves into the clinch. Karelin throws a punch but it's blocked by Mfer. A short right from Mfer on the inside.
It looks like Ruslan Karelin has been cut. Karelin working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mfer lands an elbow that stopped Karelin in his tracks for a moment. Karelin misses with a punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Karelin. Karelin working aggressively here.
Mfer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Karelin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Karelin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mfer walks away with a smile on his face. Karelin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mfer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mfer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karelin circles away quickly and effectively. Mfer closes the distance and clinches. Mfer lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Karelin throws a head punch that misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karelin swings wildly with an uppercut but Mfer uses good head movement to avoid it. Mfer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Karelin avoids it. Mfer blocking some punches.
Karelin throws a head punch that misses. We've been hearing reports that Karelin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Mfer misses with an elbow over the top. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Karelin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mfer throws an elbow that misses.
Mfer pushes off an throws an elbow but Karelin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Karelin throws a punch but it's blocked by Mfer. Karelin pulls Mfer into guard.
Mfer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Karelin working a defensive guard but Mfer manages to pass into side control anyway.
Karelin is looking to regain half guard here but Mfer keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mfer has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Bull Mfer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mfer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mfer doesn't manage to clinch there - Karelin circles away.
Mfer tries to clinch but Karelin is having none of it. Mfer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Mfer moves into the clinch. Karelin throws a head punch that misses. Mfer lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Karelin softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Karelin on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mfer throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Ruslan Karelin's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Mfer throws an elbow that misses.

Mfer lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Karelin or not. Mfer lands an elbow inside. Karelin lands a left hand.
Karelin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mfer just misses with a elbow thrown towards Karelin's brow. Karelin working some nice short punches in the clinch. Karelin lands on the inside with an uppercut. A nice glancing elbow lands by Mfer.
Jeez, Ruslan Karelin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ruslan Karelin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Bull Mfer! Jumping up and down and very excited, Bull Mfer waved his t-shirt featuring HELLBENT's logo in front of the cameras.
