Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Devon Sage (ranked 2837 p4p, 5453 weight class) and Efron Menendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sage fails with an attempt to clinch.
Menendez is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Sage closes the distance but Menendez moves to the side
and Menendez counters with a head kick.
Menendez swats away the attempt to clinch by Sage.
And Menendez tries to counter it with a takedown but Sage pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Sage forces Menendez back against the cage and clinches.
Menendez tries to circle away but Sage has him pinned against the cage.

Menendez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sage uses from the top position.

Sage is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sage drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Menendez dives on top into guard.
