Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Mondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Battery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battery misses with a low kick as Mondo jumps back.
Mondo tries to clinch but Battery is having none of it.
Mondo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mondo shoots in but Battery avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mondo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Battery is trying to escape the mount.
Battery wants to hold on but Mondo pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Battery isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mondo stacks Battery on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mondo!

Mondo drops back looking for a leg! Battery is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Battery manages to kick Mondo off! Mondo jumps back into Battery's guard.

Maximus Battery has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Battery working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mondo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mondo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mondo distracts Battery with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Manny Mondo showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mondo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
