The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard Ii shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Maca Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Howard Ii ducks right into an uppercut from Maca Jr.

It looks like Jay Howard Ii has been cut.
Maca Jr wants to land a leg kick but Howard Ii is out of range.
Howard Ii moves forwards but Maca Jr connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jay Howard Ii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Howard Ii closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Maca Jr did well to prevent Howard Ii getting side control.
Maca Jr wants to improve his position but Howard Ii is controlling well.
Maca Jr is staying active underneath Howard Ii, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Maca Jr cracks Howard Ii with a hook to the temple - Howard Ii is on wobbly legs here! Maca Jr swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Howard Ii falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Maca Jr wins by TKO!
