Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Alvarez (ranked 1194 p4p, 2816 weight class) and Charles Mesquita (ranked 136 p4p, 303 weight class). Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Juan Luis Guerra - Soldado. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Mesquita! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita drives through and clinches with Alvarez against the cage.
Alvarez wants to break the clinch but can't.
Alvarez is trying to break free.
Mesquita manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Alvarez wants to get up but he can't break Mesquita's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mesquita is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mesquita working for a triangle but Alvarez defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mesquita tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mesquita is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alvarez defends well. Alvarez is looking to stand up but Mesquita won't let him. Mesquita throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Alvarez tries to stand but Mesquita is controlling from the bottom.
Alvarez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mesquita has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alvarez has managed to get both his arms back between Mesquita's legs - danger averted.
Mesquita working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alvarez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mesquita is tightening it up a little... Alvarez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Alvarez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Alvarez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mesquita!
