Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bitok shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bitok controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Let's hope that Bitok has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Salvacion has Bitok pulled in close to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bitok content to stall in guard here.
Salvacion is pulling down on Bitok's head. It's preventing any offense from Bitok, at least for the moment.
Bitok is looking to work some ground and pound but Salvacion has wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bitok fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvacion sprawls well initially but Bitok persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Salvacion is looking to control Bitok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salvacion avoid being mounted?
Bitok seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Salvacion is holding on to half guard well.
Salvacion has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bitok is working away from the top position though.
Bitok not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bitok fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bitok shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Salvacion napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion is looking to reverse the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kulata Bitok dominated that round.

Bitok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salvacion tries to kick Bitok off but Bitok keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bitok not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Salvacion trying to control here.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bitok has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bitok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Salvacion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bitok avoids it really well and circles away.
Bitok replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bitok drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bitok passes into half guard.
Salvacion keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bitok performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Salvacion has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bitok is working away from the top position though.
Bitok controlling the pace.
Salvacion is looking to control Bitok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salvacion avoid being mounted?
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bitok looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bitok throws the kick towards the body but Salvacion avoids it.
Salvacion is looking to counter with head kicks.

Bitok closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Salvacion's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bitok's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kulata Bitok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bitok is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Salvacion wants to control but Bitok postures up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bitok wants to control for a moment but Salvacion uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Clifford Val Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kulata Bitok is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Bitok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
