Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helen Salvacion (ranked 6394 p4p, 4561 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Sapi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sapi taking a breather here. You can see the frustration on Salvacion's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sapi just content to control the position. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sapi looking to score a takedown here. Salvacion is defending well but Sapi drives through and ends up in Salvacion's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sapi controls the pace. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sapi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sapi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Salvacion holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Salvacion not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sapi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sapi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Salvacion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salvacion wants it to stay on the feet. Salvacion quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Salvacion closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sapi to the mat! Sapi manages to get full guard. Sapi is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Salvacion dives into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Sapi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Salvacion circles away. Sapi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sapi managing to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sapi pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage. Salvacion's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sapi trying to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sapi tries to land a front kick but Salvacion steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. And Salvacion counters with a quick kick to the body but Sapi blocks it. Sapi shoots for a double leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls well. He's pushed Sapi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. It appears Salvacion was looking to counter with a kick there. Sapi throws a wild body kick that Salvacion sees coming a mile off. Salvacion jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi misses with a takedown and Salvacion makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sapi really felt that one! Helen Salvacion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi. Sapi with a lazy takedown attempt and Salvacion counters with a nice body kick. Sapi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sapi showed some decent athleticism there. Salvacion is trying to maintain the position but Sapi is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion keeping control of the position. Sapi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Helen Salvacion dominated that second round. That's time! Salvacion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Salvacion fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sapi shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense. Salvacion looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi managing to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Salvacion has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sapi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Salvacion is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sapi pulls Salvacion in to control the position. Sapi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Helen Salvacion showed his dominance in that final round. I think Salvacion has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
