Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Salvacion (ranked 5710 p4p, 4564 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Nada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Salvacion trying to hold on to Nada's head to control him but Nada postures up.
Nada content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nada.

Nada not doing much here.
Salvacion desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Nada controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nada shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Nada won't allow Salvacion to sweep him here.

Nada seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nada missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nada sitting in guard here, content to control.
Salvacion is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salvacion has control of Nada's left arm, preventing Nada from doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion looks for a takedown but Nada sprawls well.
Nada tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Way Nada dominated that round.
That's time! Salvacion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Salvacion fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nada to the ground. Salvacion is now in Nada's guard.
Nada pulls Salvacion in to control the position.
Salvacion stops Nada from standing up.
Nada has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salvacion is stalling in the full guard.
Nada has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nada has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nada closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Salvacion quickly recovers to half guard.
Nada perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Salvacion is positioning himself well to prevent Nada advancing to mount.
Salvacion trying to hold on to Nada's head to control him but Nada postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nada is looking to take a break and control but Salvacion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Salvacion wants to control but Nada is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nada sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Salvacion defending well though.
Salvacion has a hand on Nada's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Nada takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Nada looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Salvacion is trying to escape the mount.
Way Nada has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nada avoids the attempt from Salvacion to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Way Nada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nada shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salvacion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Salvacion is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nada seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nada wants to control from the top but Salvacion keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nada looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Nada looking to pass the guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Nada looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Salvacion!
Salvacion isn't going anywhere.
Nada controlling the position.

Salvacion is not content to let Nada control the position.
Salvacion being controlled for a moment.
Rico Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Way Nada is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Way Nada comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nada has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
