Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Talbain (ranked 24012 p4p, 23683 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 201 p4p, 162 weight class). Tommy Gunn looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Talbain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talbain misses with a low kick.
Talbain fails with the takedown
and Gunn counters with a head kick.
Gunn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Horrible takedown attempt by Talbain or perhaps it was just good defense by Gunn, which made it look bad.
Gunn lands a nice looking body kick.
Talbain shoots in looking for a takedown. Gunn tries to sprawl out of it but Talbain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gunn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Talbain goes for a double leg but Gunn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gunn continues to drive forward.
As Talbain backs off Gunn throws a huge counter combo but Talbain manages to avoid it all.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Talbain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gunn.
Talbain is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gunn.

Gunn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Gunn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Talbain won't be happy with that.

Talbain closes the distance and clinches up with Gunn, looking for a takedown. Talbain pushes Gunn against the cage but Gunn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gunn scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Gunn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Talbain won't be happy with that.
Gunn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
