Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Milan Ponjevic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Louis Arnold! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ponjevic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ponjevic takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ponjevic dives in and grabs Arnold's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arnold pushes down on Ponjevic's head and hops out. Arnold lands a really nice looking cross but Ponjevic seems unphased.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Arnold defends it well. Ponjevic is looking for a kimura but Arnold is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ponjevic to get the leverage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arnold can do anything to dispel that myth. Ponjevic seems to be looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arnold is trying to get back to full guard. Arnold is in trouble now - Ponjevic has advanced to mount! Arnold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ponjevic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ponjevic is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Arnold to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Arnold shrugs it off. Ponjevic working for a submission but Arnold is keeping him at bay. Arnold has left one of his arms exposed and Ponjevic doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Arnold screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
