Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miggel Indian Boy (ranked 5775 p4p, 6266 weight class) and Roberto Gaviria (ranked 532 p4p, 557 weight class). Gaviria comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Beast kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miggel Indian Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Gaviria! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Indian Boy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Indian Boy is looking to take a break and control but Gaviria is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Indian Boy works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Indian Boy tries for a kimura but Gaviria is defending well. Indian Boy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gaviria fails with a takedown attempt. Gaviria clinches with his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaviria wants to break free but Indian Boy has control.
Indian Boy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gaviria is defending well. Gaviria jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Indian Boy walks away with a smile on his face. Gaviria gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Indian Boy gets in close and instigates a clinch. Indian Boy scores a nice knee to the body.
Gaviria looks winded! Indian Boy pulls guard effortlessly. Indian Boy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Indian Boy controls Gaviria momentarily but Gaviria frees himself. Gaviria stopping the sweep attempt from Indian Boy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Indian Boy holds on and takes a little breather. Indian Boy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Indian Boy uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Gaviria is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Miggel Indian Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Gaviria. Indian Boy landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Indian Boy is figuring out what he wants to do next. Indian Boy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Indian Boy thows a huge punch but Gaviria dodges it nicely.
Indian Boy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gaviria has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Rio. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Indian Boy postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Gaviria to stand up. Indian Boy drives through with a takedown into guard.

Indian Boy stands and throws Gaviria's legs to the side, diving into side control. Indian Boy controlling the position from side mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Indian Boy keeping moving, preventing Gaviria from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Indian Boy is controlling Gaviria's posture. Gaviria avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Indian Boy is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Indian Boy has closed the distance and engaged Gaviria in a clinch.
Indian Boy pulls guard. Indian Boy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Indian Boy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Indian Boy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gaviria can do to turn this around? Indian Boy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaviria is fighting to break Indian Boy's control of his arms but Indian Boy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Indian Boy working for a triangle but Gaviria defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Indian Boy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gaviria trying to control but Indian Boy is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Gaviria tries to clinch there but Indian Boy circles away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Gaviria trying to control the position but instead, Indian Boy has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gaviria into the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gaviria drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Indian Boy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gaviria for as long as he can get away with. Gaviria takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gaviria is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Indian Boy stays in close to Gaviria's body and controls the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Indian Boy connects with a right hand. Gaviria shakes it off. Indian Boy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Indian Boy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Indian Boy in side control, just content to control the action for now. Indian Boy decides to stand back up. Indian Boy steps back and let's Gaviria get back to his feet. Indian Boy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Indian Boy controlling the action here. More hug and hope from Indian Boy. Indian Boy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gaviria knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Indian Boy lands with a punch from half guard. Indian Boy decides to stand up. Roberto Gaviria has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nice sprawl there from Indian Boy as Gaviria shoots in. Miggel Indian Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Gaviria. Indian Boy forces Gaviria back against the cage and clinches. Indian Boy lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Indian Boy moves into full mount! Gaviria won't be happy about that! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Indian Boy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Miggel Indian Boy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Indian Boy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
