Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Ekwall (ranked 1415 p4p, 1502 weight class) and Vlastimil Vyr (ranked 45 p4p, 48 weight class). Ekwall comes into the arena with Enter the Sandman blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Ekwall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vlastimil Vyr!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vyr misses with a double jab.
Ekwall has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Vyr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ekwall sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vyr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ekwall lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Vlastimil Vyr has been cut.
Vyr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ekwall moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vyr sizes up Ekwall with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ekwall lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Vyr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ekwall counters with a straight right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Some wild striking there from Ekwall.
Ekwall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vyr clobbers Ekwall with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Vyr throws a jab when Ekwall was well out of range.
Ekwall misses with the combination.
Vyr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vyr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ekwall avoids the body shot from Vyr.
Vyr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ekwall counters with a straight right hand.
Vlastimil Vyr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vyr drops his hands momentarily and Ekwall takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ekwall throws a head kick that misses.
Vyr scores with a nice strike.
Vyr misses with a series of wild punches.
Vyr feints a jab promting Ekwall to slip. Vyr then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ekwall slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looked like Ekwall was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Vyr throws a series of punches but Ekwall avoids them all with ease.
The crowd cheers as Vyr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ekwall doesn't seem phased though.

Ekwall seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Vyr takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ekwall drops Vyr with a beautiful combination! Vyr stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ekwall is looking for the KO!
Vyr is rocked!
Ekwall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vyr.
Ekwall went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Vyr is still on wobbly legs! Can Ekwall finish him?
Ekwall dodges the punch combination from Vyr.
Ekwall cracks Vyr's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Vyr slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Ekwall can do further damage! This one is done, son!
