Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Daaniel Teteny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Brockington!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teteny shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Brockington is trying to stand up here but Teteny is controlling him well.
Teteny working over Brockington with some ground and pound. Brockington looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Brockington looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Teteny sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brockington defending well though.

Teteny is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brockington sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Teteny is looking for a kimura but Brockington is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Teteny to get the leverage.
Teteny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brockington keeps working.

Teteny looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Teteny throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Teteny throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Teteny is looking for a kimura here.

Teteny is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brockington defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brockington looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Teteny is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brockington is looking for a sweep. Teteny is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Teteny postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Brockington to stand up.
We've been told by Teteny's head coaches at JAG Battle Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Teteny shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Brockington manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Teteny keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Teteny tightens his grip and picks Brockington up, before dumping him to the ground. Brockington manages to land in guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Brockington manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Brockington is fighting off a takedown attempt but Teteny is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brockington to the mat. Brockington regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Brockington is looking for a triangle but Teteny pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brockington keeping full guard, as Teteny tries to pass.
Teteny trying to control but Brockington is working from the bottom.
Brockington controls Teteny momentarily but Teteny frees himself.
Teteny stands and throws Brockington's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Teteny tries to move to mount but Brockington blocks the move with his legs.

Teteny is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Brockington looks calm but he's in trouble here. Teteny gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Brockington is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Teteny lets go of the hold and Brockington can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Daaniel Teteny!
