Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Stawarski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Randy Bobandy!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Stawarski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stawarski tries to clinch but Bobandy moves out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing that Stawarski has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Stawarski's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bobandy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stawarski scrambles back to his feet.
Bobandy lands a really nice looking cross but Stawarski seems unphased.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bobandy is taking a breather. Stawarski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Bobandy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bobandy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stawarski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stawarski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bobandy stacks Stawarski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bobandy!
