Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jani Honkanen (ranked 1676 p4p, 1346 weight class) and Maro Pjetlic (ranked 223 p4p, 187 weight class). Pjetlic is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Legend. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jani Honkanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maro Pjetlic!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honkanen closes the distance and clinches up with Pjetlic, looking for a takedown. Honkanen pushes Pjetlic against the cage but Pjetlic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Honkanen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Honkanen misses with a hook
and Honkanen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Jani Honkanen has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pjetlic. Honkanen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pjetlic misses with an uppercut. Honkanen saw that one coming.
Pjetlic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Honkanen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Honkanen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Honkanen there as he acknowledges the shot.
Honkanen avoids the body shot from Pjetlic.
Pjetlic just misses with a punch to the body.
Maro Pjetlic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Pjetlic misses.
Pjetlic loads up on a big right hand but Honkanen slips the punch.
Honkanen scores with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Honkanen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pjetlic sprawls well. Pjetlic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Honkanen gets slowly back to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Pjetlic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jani Honkanen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A jab from Pjetlic finds it's way through Honkanen's defenses.
Honkanen takes one on the button.
Pjetlic sizes up Honkanen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Honkanen gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Pjetlic gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Honkanen is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maro Pjetlic!
An out of breath Maro Pjetlic thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
