The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looked like Carter wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Carter lands a nice shot that snaps Proudhon's head back.

Pierre Joseph Proudhon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Proudhon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd cheers as Proudhon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Carter doesn't seem phased though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Carter counters with a good low kick that Proudhon was not able to check.
Proudhon is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him?
Proudhon looks winded!
Proudhon glances at the clock... BAM! Carter nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Proudhon crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Proudhon is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Carter!
An out of breath Michael Carter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
