Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 24252 p4p, 6376 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Xxx Xxx's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter A throws a body kick that misses. Fighter A throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter B's waist but Fighter B gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter A off to one side. Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fighter A wants to get up but he can't break Fighter B's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B looking for a guillotine here but Fighter A defends easily.
Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fighter A wanted to stand there but Fighter B had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fighter A being controlled here momentarily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter A has a takedown stuffed. Fighter A throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter B's waist but Fighter B gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter A off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A has a takedown stuffed. Fighter B is trying to counter with his kicks. Fighter B stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter A. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet. Fighter B closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fighter A did well to prevent Fighter B getting side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter B stops Fighter A from getting back to his feet.
Fighter A is trying to maintain the position but Fighter B is very close to passing his half guard. Fighter A blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fighter B. Fighter B not doing much here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Fighter B fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fighter A to the ground. Fighter B is now in Fighter A's guard. Fighter A has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fighter B has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Fighter B drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fighter A is trying to drag Fighter B to the mat but Fighter B just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B has clasped his hands together around Fighter A's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fighter B's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Fighter A is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fighter B asserts his dominance and retains side control. Fighter B taking a breather here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fighter A with a lazy takedown attempt and Fighter B counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fighter A gets full guard. Fighter B is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B won't allow Fighter A to get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter B, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes Fighter B against the cage but Fighter B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fighter B throws a big counter head kick but Fighter A avoids it with no problem. Fighter A shoots in and drives through. Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick. Fighter B tries to sprawl but Fighter A drives through with a takedown into half guard. Fighter A seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A trying to control the action but Fighter B is working from the bottom. Fighter A stands up out of the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fighter B stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter B wants it to stay on the feet. Fighter A changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fighter B looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Fighter B's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A trying to control the position but Fighter B is working away. Fighter B struggling a bit here. Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter A decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fighter B tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Fighter A with a lazy takedown attempt and Fighter B counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fighter A is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fighter B dives into side control.
Fighter A wants to get back to his feet but Fighter B drags him back down. Fighter A is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fighter B has just dragged him back down to the mat. Fighter A being controlled for a moment. Fighter A is trying to control Fighter B's posture but Fighter B avoids it. Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Fighter A's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Xxx Xxx. I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
