Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matsuhiro Toryiama (ranked 2381 p4p, 4327 weight class) and Jeremy Scott (ranked 305 p4p, 517 weight class). Toryiama comes to the cage accompanied by Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 - Ore wa Tokoton Tomaranai!. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jeremy Scott was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matsuhiro Toryiama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Scott!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott clinches up against the cage.

Scott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Toryiama keeps the fight on the outside.
Scott moves into range and connects with a jab.

Scott works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Scott postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Toryiama swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Toryiama avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Scott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Scott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Toryiama is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scott is aware though and is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Toryiama is trying to control the position but Scott postures up.

Toryiama is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Toryiama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Scott throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Scott throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Toryiama works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Toryiama has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Toryiama has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Toryiama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Scott defends well.

Scott avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Toryiama controls Scott momentarily but Scott frees himself.

Scott is sitting in close to Toryiama's body. Toryiama has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Scott is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Scott is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Toryiama.

Our winner, Matsuhiro Toryiama, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Jeremy Scott spoke after the fight, saying 'I have been beating alot of contenders while being undersized for the division. This was my last fight under contract might be time to go somewhere that has my weight class. Its time to make the move to 170'.
