Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ultima Koivisto (ranked 235 p4p, 921 weight class) and Caio Victor (ranked 34 p4p, 128 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ultima Koivisto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Victor! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koivisto has Victor up against the cage in a clinch.
Koivisto misses with a hook from the clinch. We've been informed that Victor has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Victor tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Koivisto smiles and moves away.
Victor throws the left hand but Koivisto avoids the punch easily. Koivisto slips a jab from Victor. Koivisto moves into the clinch. Koivisto lands a hook to the side of the head. Victor tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Koivisto just stands there and leans against the cage. Koivisto swings wildly with an uppercut but Victor uses good head movement to avoid it. Koivisto lands with a short shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koivisto lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Koivisto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Caio Victor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koivisto slips under a jab. Victor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Koivisto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Koivisto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Victor tries to keep at a distance but Koivisto has taken the fight into the clinch. Koivisto is defending well against a takedown attempt. Ultima Koivisto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Victor. A body shot lands from Koivisto.
Koivisto lands with a short head shot on the inside. Victor tries to pull guard but Koivisto holds him up against the cage and eventually Victor drops back down to his feet.

and Victor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Koivisto won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Koivisto tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koivisto manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Victor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've been hearing that Koivisto has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Koivisto is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Victor wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Victor wants to control but Koivisto is keeping busy and won't allow it. Victor is trying to get back to full guard. Koivisto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Koivisto thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Victor's head.

Koivisto seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Victor is not content to let Koivisto control the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Victor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Victor misses the shot to the body. Koivisto misses with an uppercut. Victor is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Victor misses with a wild body shot. Victor swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Nice uppercut there from Victor. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ultima Koivisto dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Koivisto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

It looked like Koivisto was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Victor. Victor throws a sloppy body shot
and Victor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Koivisto bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Victor's head backwards. Victor just misses with a punch to the body.

That could mean trouble for Koivisto! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Victor tries for a kimura. That's one minute gone in the round. Koivisto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Koivisto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Victor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Koivisto doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Victor. Victor trying to pass the guard but Koivisto defending well. Caio Victor has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Koivisto wants to improve his position but Victor is controlling well.
Victor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Koivisto defends it well. Victor is pressing down on Koivisto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Koivisto is holding on for now. Koivisto trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Victor is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Koivisto is controlling an arm, preventing Victor from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Victor is still trying to improve position. Koivisto really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Koivisto has given up his back. Will we see Victor going for some submissions?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Victor is cranking Koivisto's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Koivisto! He's tightened the choke and Koivisto is tapping out!
