The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles throws an off balance right hand

and Scott counters by clinching up.
Knuckles takes a shot to the head.
Knuckles looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Scott ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Scott no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Scott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Knuckles wanted to stand there but Scott had control of the position.
Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Scott is looking to advance position but Knuckles won't allow it.

Scott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Knuckles sees it coming and defends easily.

Scott is trying to control the action in half guard but Knuckles is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Knuckles defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Scott's arms.
Knuckles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
