Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nico DiAngelo (ranked 2300 p4p, 5609 weight class) and Kevin Cool (ranked 273 p4p, 527 weight class). Kevin Cool has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Cool!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DiAngelo leaves Cool with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
DiAngelo tried to counter with a leg kick but Cool avoided it.

DiAngelo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cool napping and manages to drive through into side control!

DiAngelo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cool rolls with the submission and now he's on top in DiAngelo's guard! Nice work there by Cool!
DiAngelo wants to sweep here but Cool controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cool wants to control from the top but DiAngelo keeps moving.
Cool won't allow DiAngelo to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cool is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but DiAngelo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cool is looking to defend but DiAngelo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cool! DiAngelo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cool taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nico DiAngelo!
