Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ralphie White! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz looks for a takedown but White sprawls well. White forces Cruz back against the cage and clinches. Cruz lands a takedown into guard.
Cruz trying to control but White is working from the bottom. We've been hearing that Cruz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Cruz advances to half guard. Cruz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cruz trying to control the action but White is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White is defending against the submission attempts here by Cruz.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cruz is pressing down on White's thigh, looking to free his foot. White is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz controlling the action here. Cruz tries to pass to full mount but White defends it. Cruz moves into full mount! White won't be happy about that! Cruz controlling the position easily from mount. White tries to hold on but Cruz postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz looking to control but White is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. White is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Cruz fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
White is in a horrible position here. Cruz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Cruz lands a nice shot to the head. Cruz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But White has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from White! Cruz throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cruz has his foot on White's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. White works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cruz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Cruz's legs - danger averted. Cruz looking for a triangle here. White is fighting it but it looks tight! Cruz pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, White is tapping out - this one is all over!
