Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James King (ranked 166 p4p, 762 weight class) and J Gay G (ranked 26 p4p, 87 weight class). Gay G is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gay G slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
King takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
King steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gay G.
An attempted straight right counter from King misses the target.
King throws a head kick but Gay G moves out of range.
Gay G rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gay G ducks down and throws a hook to the body but King moves away.
Gay G dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gay G throws a shot to the body.
King bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
King punishes Gay G's body with a nice straight punch.
Gay G thuds a left hand into King's body.
Gay G takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
King swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As Gay G looks to move away, King throws a big counter combo but Gay G just gets out of the way.
Gay G moves away from the strike by King.

King avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
King swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gay G swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by King.
King has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
King attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Gay G misses the shot to the body.
Gay G throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
King lands with a kick to the temple. Gay G shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

J Gay G seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gay G's head.

King walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Gay G drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! King swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Gay G's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James King!
