Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Way Nada (ranked 4798 p4p, 6487 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Salvacion has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Way Nada's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nada with a lazy takedown attempt and Salvacion counters with a thumping low kick. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nada dives in and grabs Salvacion's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salvacion pushes down on Nada's head and hops out. Salvacion is trying to counter with his kicks. Salvacion tries to sprawl but Nada drives through with a takedown into half guard. Salvacion is looking to improve his position.
Salvacion is not content to let Nada control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion keeping moving, preventing Nada from controlling successfully. Nada is fighting to break Salvacion's control of his arms but Salvacion is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Nada's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Salvacion gets a double leg takedown into Nada's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nada holds on and takes a little breather. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salvacion preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion sitting in guard here, content to control. Nada has Salvacion pulled in close to control his posture. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Salvacion controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvacion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nada. And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Nada manages to step out the way in time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Way Nada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nada scores with a kick to the midsection. Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt. Nada half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Way Nada will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Salvacion fails with the takedown and Nada counters with a body kick. Nada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salvacion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion looking to score a takedown here. Nada is defending well but Salvacion drives through and ends up in Nada's guard. Nada kicks Salvacion off and gets to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nada is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nada has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is trying is best to control the position here. Salvacion tries to roll over but Nada keeps him under control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from Salvacion as Nada shoots in. Nada shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Salvacion is trying to defend but Nada finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nada trying to control from the bottom.

Nada shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salvacion pinned against the cage. Salvacion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Nada pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Way Nada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nada dives in for a single leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nada is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Salvacion is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nada gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Salvacion turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Salvacion manages to end up in side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Salvacion takes a little break here. Nada wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Rico Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Way Nada is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion trying to control the position but Nada is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! Rico Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Nada has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
