Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manfla closes the distance and pushes LaFonsetta back into the cage.
LaFonsetta tries for a takedown but Manfla manages to get underhooks.

Manfla stalls.
LaFonsetta blocks a body shot from Manfla.
Manfla digs a right hand into LaFonsetta's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on LaFonsetta's gas tank.
LaFonsetta is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Manfla to keep the fight standing.

Joao Manfla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam LaFonsetta.

Manfla wants the takedown. LaFonsetta is fighting it off but Manfla persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in LaFonsetta's guard against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manfla slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if LaFonsetta can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

LaFonsetta tries to improve his position but Manfla has taken his back! Manfla has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will LaFonsetta tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Manfla pushes LaFonsetta away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
