The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in for a double leg but Da Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Santos needs to keep his hands up - Da Silva had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Miguel Santos has been cut.

Santos throws a counter high kick but Da Silva was just alert enough to avoid it.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Da Silva as he avoids it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Miguel Santos.
