The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Lawson enables Mikaelson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lawson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Lawson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mikaelson is one step ahead there.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mikaelson has eaten all the pies!
Mikaelson postures up in Lawson's guard and throws a big left but Lawson blocks it.
Lawson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mikaelson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mikaelson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
