Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeffrey Rutgers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Pain! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rutgers looks to land a combination. Pain sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Rutgers scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Pain takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Pain dodges the punch combination from Rutgers.
Rutgers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pain. Nice sprawl there from Rutgers as Pain shoots in. Rutgers really is a fat lump. Rutgers fails to land with a series of punches.
Pain takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rutgers connects with the punch. Rutgers lands a left and a right that sends Pain crashing to the canvas! Rutgers dives into mount looking to finish!
Pain is rocked! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rutgers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pain is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain tries to hold on but Rutgers pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pain somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Pain walks into a left hand. Rutgers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jeffrey Rutgers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rutgers lands with an overhand left. No joy there for Rutgers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rutgers throws a nice looking combination but Pain bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pain gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rutgers. Rutgers misses with a wild combination.
Pain fails to land the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutgers lands a jab-cross combination. Pain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pain seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Pain looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeffrey Rutgers dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pain rushes Rutgers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rutgers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pain has him pressed against the cage. Pain drags the fight down to the ground.
Pain is adopting a defensive guard. Rutgers is looking to stand up but Pain won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pain is pulling down on Rutgers's head to control his posture. Rutgers would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pain pulls Rutgers in close to his closed guard and prevents Rutgers from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain working for a triangle but Rutgers defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pain has Rutgers pulled in close to control his posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A left lands for Rutgers. Rutgers looks to land a combination but Pain avoids it well. Rutgers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rutgers throws a hook but Pain blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pain jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rutgers manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain tries for a kimura but Rutgers is defending well. Pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rutgers tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pain easily slips into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Pain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
