Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dmitri Zaitsev (ranked 4378 p4p, 3771 weight class) and Genno Laskolnyk (ranked 513 p4p, 465 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 33 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dmitri Zaitsev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Genno Laskolnyk! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zaitsev gets a clinch. Zaitsev lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Zaitsev.
Laskolnyk throws a head punch that misses. Zaitsev lands a hook to the side of the head. Zaitsev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Zaitsev stalling against the ropes.
Zaitsev prevents a body shot from Laskolnyk. Laskolnyk is trying to break the clinch but Zaitsev has him pressed against the ropes. Laskolnyk tries to land a knee to the head but Zaitsev blocks with his arms.
Laskolnyk is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A short left from Zaitsev. A body shot lands from Zaitsev.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zaitsev lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Laskolnyk or not. Laskolnyk looks winded! Zaitsev will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Laskolnyk up against the ropes. Laskolnyk with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Zaitsev stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
We've been informed that Laskolnyk has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Zaitsev lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laskolnyk working hard to break the clinch. Zaitsev lands an uppercut. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zaitsev takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Zaitsev definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Zaitsev lands with a left to the head. Zaitsev lands a body shot in the clinch.
Zaitsev lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Laskolnyk backwards. Zaitsev lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Laskolnyk backwards. Laskolnyk is trying to force a seperation but Zaitsev has the dominant position. Zaitsev lands a hook that snaps the head of Laskolnyk backwards.
Laskolnyk is rocked! Zaitsev's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Laskolnyk is still on wobbly legs! Can Zaitsev finish him? Zaitsev lands a left hand.
Zaitsev creates a bit of distance and cracks Laskolnyk with a big uppercut! Laskolnyk goes down! The referee pushes Zaitsev away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Laskolnyk make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Zaitsev takes it!
