The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy throws a right hand that misses
and Cole counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cole gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Roy.
Cole fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Cole looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Roy steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Roy throws out a powerful jab.
Roy ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cole appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Rob Roy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Roy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

A decent looking cross lands there for Cole.
The fighters circling - Roy throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Roy! But no joy.

Roy misses with a few strikes there.
Cole keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cole wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Roy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cole throws a low kick but it's checked well by Roy.
Despite the aggression on Roy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Roy throws a front kick that sends Cole stumbling back into the cage.

Cole will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Roy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cole sees it coming and avoids it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Cole misses the target.
Cole throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A little jabbing left from Roy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

enabling Cole to counter with a crisp jab.

and Cole connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cole slips under a jab from Roy.
Cole throws a sloppy head kick and Roy moves out of range easily.
Cole throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Roy pushes Cole away with a front kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Roy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cole's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Roy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cole scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Roy lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Cole falls backwards - clearly groggy! Roy dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
