Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 627 p4p, 815 weight class) and Naoko Marui (ranked 90 p4p, 117 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Better Dead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Naoko Marui!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marui throws a looping overhand right but Dead ducks down to avoid it.
Marui comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dead throws a series of punches but Marui avoids them all with ease.
Marui moves out of range as Dead strikes.
Nice defenses there by Dead.
Marui clobbers Dead with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Marui lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dead circles away quickly and effectively.
It looks like Dead has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Dead is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Oh Dead is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dead drops his hands momentarily and Marui takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dead throws an overhand right that lands on Marui's shoulder, as Marui tries to avoid the shot.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dead's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marui connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dead scrambles back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It's a brutal combination of punches from Marui! Dead is backing up but he can't get away as Marui lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Dead and ends the fight. Great knockout.

After the fight, Naoko Marui was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
