PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lu Cheng (ranked 24565 p4p, 2125 weight class) and Devon Sage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lu Cheng has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lu Cheng seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sage has Cheng up against the cage in a clinch.
Sage jumps guard but Cheng turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sage jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cheng walks away with a smile on his face. Sage gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cheng circles away from the clinch attempt
and Cheng counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sage tries to clinch up
and Cheng counters with a nice uppercut.

Sage pushes Cheng up against the cage in a clinch.

Sage decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sage is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Cheng frees his head nicely. Oh but Sage has switched to an armbar! Cheng is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
