Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arne Skognar (ranked 3294 p4p, 3302 weight class) and Anas Kospas (ranked 412 p4p, 414 weight class). Skognar comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Enter Sandman. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arne Skognar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anas Kospas!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kospas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Skognar counters with a one-two to the body.
Skognar leaves Kospas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Skognar throws a head kick that Kospas semi-blocks.
Anas Kospas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kospas.
We've been told by Skognar's head coaches at The Scrap Squad that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Arne Skognar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anas Kospas.
Kospas shoots in looking for a takedown. Skognar tries to sprawl out of it but Kospas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Skognar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kospas has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kospas there as he acknowledges the shot.

Skognar cracks Kospas with a right hand to the side of the head.
No joy there for Skognar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kospas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Skognar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kospas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Skognar wants to get back to his feet.
Kospas lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Skognar is staying active underneath Kospas, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Skognar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kospas is stalling in the full guard.
Skognar pulls Kospas in close to prevent any damage.
Skognar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kospas manages to get himself to full guard.

Kospas wants to get back to his feet but Skognar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kospas has his feet on Skognar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Both fighters circling a little - Skognar finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Skognar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kospas takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Skognar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Skognar tries a head kick but it misses.
Skognar connects with a body shot that sends Kospas's belly button to the back.
Arne Skognar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kospas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Skognar counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Skognar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Skognar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kospas passes Skognar's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skognar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kospas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kospas's back!

Skognar has decided that he can't make progress quickly enough from the back position and has rather unusually decided to stand up from the dominant position. Obviously he's going to be looking for the knockout on the feet here!

Skognar works Kospas's body with a nice hook.
Kospas is breathing heavily.
Kospas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Skognar but Skognar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Skognar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kospas can do to turn this around?

Skognar scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Skognar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Skognar closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kospas walks into a left hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Skognar throws a one two combo.
A jab from Skognar finds it's way through Kospas's defenses.
Skognar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kospas is still on wobbly legs! Can Skognar finish him?
Skognar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kospas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Skognar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kospas seems to have recovered his senses.
Kospas's coach down at Besta-Fera Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kospas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kospas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Skognar swivels and escapes.
Skognar connects with a looping right hand.
Kospas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Skognar wobbles Kospas with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Skognar dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Kospas to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Arne Skognar!
Arne Skognar seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
