Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dag Schotel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Diego!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schotel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Diego slips a jab from Schotel.
Schotel cracks Diego with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Sam Diego has been cut.
Diego throws an off balance right hand
and Schotel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Diego's guard.
Diego manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Diego.
Schotel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schotel scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Diego ducks under a wild hook from Schotel.
Sam Diego seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diego fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Schotel manages to avoid it.
Diego misses with a hook
and Schotel counters with a nice uppercut.
Diego slips under a jab from Schotel.
Diego has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice shot lands for Diego.
Schotel staying out of range there.
Schotel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diego.
Schotel swings widly with a right hand
and Diego counters with a left to the body.
Diego dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diego smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Schotel cracks Diego with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Diego falls to his knees and Schotel doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
