Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 4707 p4p, 4886 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulata Bitok acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nice takedown defense from Buktot. No joy for Bitok on that attempt. Buktot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bitok has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Buktot is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bitok. Buktot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Buktot slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buktot being controlled here momentarily. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bitok is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buktot shoots in looking for a takedown. Bitok tries to sprawl out of it but Buktot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bitok manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bitok thinks about the counter body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot fails with a takedown attempt. Bitok thinks about the counter body kick. Bitok gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bitok dives in and grabs Buktot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes down on Bitok's head and hops out. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok. Bitok tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buktot swivels and escapes. A kick lands to the mid section there for Buktot. Buktot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bitok circles away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bitok as he jumps to the side. Bitok throws a counter combo. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Buktot looks for a takedown but Bitok sprawls well. Buktot takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Buktot with that takedown attempt. Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Bitok blocks it. Bitok with a lazy takedown attempt and Buktot counters with a nice body kick. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bitok dives in and grabs Buktot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes down on Bitok's head and hops out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bitok shoots in for a double leg but Buktot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Buktot changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Buktot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bitok can do to turn this around? Buktot manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bitok on his heels. He'll look to pass Bitok's guard now, I'm sure. Buktot controls from within his opponent's guard. Bitok not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bitok has his hands on Buktot's head, controlling the position. Bitok is trying to control the position but Buktot postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bitok has Buktot pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buktot closes the distance and clinches up with Bitok, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes Bitok against the cage but Bitok circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bitok shoots in but Buktot avoids the takedown attempt easily. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bitok replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buktot blocks it well. Buktot fails to land the takedown. Bitok is trying to counter with his kicks. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bitok. It appears Buktot was looking to counter with a kick there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bitok is defended easily by Buktot. Buktot throws a big counter combination but Bitok scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bitok decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok stalling. Buktot has hold of Bitok's hands but Bitok slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Buktot is trying to control but can't.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok not landing any meaningful shots this time.

And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Buktot has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
