Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Test One!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles throws a lazy right hand but One sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
One slips a jab from Miles.
Nice sprawl there from Miles as One shoots in.
Miles fails to land with a series of punches.
One throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
One tries for a takedown but Miles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Miles closes the distance and clinches.
One has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Miles swings away with an uppercut that misses.
One goes for a takedown attempt but Miles pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dan Miles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Test One.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miles keeps the fight in the clinch, despite One's efforts to push away.

Miles wants to stand but One is controlling the position.
One seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Miles pulls One in to control the position.
One would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

One throws a nice looking combination but Miles bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and One holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
One is trying to break the clinch but Miles is controlling him.

One is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Miles is defending well for now.
Miles has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. One is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Miles looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

One breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

One misses with a takedown attempt - Miles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Miles throws a hook to the side of One's head but One sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
One misses with a kick to the body
enabling Miles to counter with a crisp jab.
Miles checks a low kick from One.
Miles throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
One swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
One moves out of range as Miles strikes.
One looks like he wants to counter punch here.
One shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
One tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten One somewhat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

One closes the distance and clinches.
One tries to score a body lock takedown but Miles shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Miles will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Miles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in One's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if One can do anything to dispel that myth.
One wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Miles will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Miles shoots in looking for a takedown. One tries to sprawl out of it but Miles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. One manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

One throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Miles's waist but Miles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing One off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miles is just content to waste time from the top position. One takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Test One has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dan Miles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miles, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
