And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 67 wins and 34 losses; Matvey Pavlov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Burroughs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pavlov as he jumps to the side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pavlov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pavlov wants it to stay on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pavlov.

Pavlov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burroughs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

It looks like Pavlov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

My spies in Marty Robbin's Fight Ranch inform me that Pavlov has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Pavlov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Burroughs's body.
Let's hope that Pavlov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
