Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Batang Kock (ranked 979 p4p, 403 weight class) and Caio Peieira (ranked 47 p4p, 21 weight class). Kock comes to the cage accompanied by I will axe kick you, and I am not careful.. Caio Peieira has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Batang Kock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Caio Peieira! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Peieira. Kock does a little dance to reset his feet. Peieira swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Peieira just misses with a punch to the body.
Peieira misses with a shot to the body and Kock counters with a lovely straight right hand! Peieira connects with a crisp jab. A slow jab from Kock misses its intended target. Peieira has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kock jabbing away but nothing is landing. Peieira lands a head shot. Peieira missing with a left hand there. Kock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kock slips a jab from Peieira. Caio Peieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peieira throws a hook but Kock blocks it. Peieira swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Kock counters with a two punch combo. Kock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Peieira manages to avoid it.

Kock lands with an uppercut that bounces Peieira off the cage and back into range. Kock tries a head kick but it misses.
Peieira ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kock moves away. Kock misses with a wild combination.
Kock moves away from the strike by Peieira. Peieira misses with an uppercut. A counter left hand to the body from Kock misses its target. Peieira misses with a hook to the body
and Kock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Peieira scores with a nice head shot. Kock scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Peieira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kock swats him away and circles back towards the center. Peieira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kock manages to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Kock misses the target. Peieira drives through with a takedown into Kock's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Peieira pushes down on Kock's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kock preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Kock is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Kock has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Peieira wants to work for an arm triangle but Kock is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kock gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peieira can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kock keeping full guard, as Peieira tries to pass. Kock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peieira doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peieira manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kock keeping moving, preventing Peieira from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Peieira preventing the sweep. Kock pulls Peieira in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peieira wants to control from the top but Kock keeps moving. Peieira passes Kock's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Peieira wants to control but Kock is keeping him busy. Kock is holding on to half guard well. Peieira looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Peieira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kock is just riding it out for now. Peieira eventually gives up the hold. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Caio Peieira will probably get the nod. That's time! Kock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Peieira throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kock feinted there with a counter leg kick. Kock misses with the combination.

Peieira fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kock on the side of the head. Peieira digs a good hook to Kock's body.

Peieira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kock manages to avoid it. Peieira swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kock misses with a looping left. Peieira misses with a lunging right hand
and Kock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Peieira takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Peieira gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kock counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Peieira misses. Batang Kock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Peieira dives in for a single leg takedown but Kock sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Batang Kock is winning the standup battle so far. Peieira misses with a takedown and Kock counters with a stiff right hand. Batang Kock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Peieira. Peieira takes one to the side of the head.

Kock tries to sprawl but Peieira drives through with a takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peieira seems to be working for a kimura but Kock defends the submission attempt. Kock trying to hold on to Peieira's head to control him but Peieira postures up.
Kock is controlling Peieira's position as best he can from this difficult position. Peieira is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Kock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Peieira is one step ahead there. Peieira wants to pass the guard but Kock is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peieira trying to control but Kock is working from the bottom. Peieira trying to move into half guard but instead Kock has managed to sweep! Kock preventing the sweep. Kock slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Peieira has his foot on Kock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kock works his way back into a safe position though. Peieira keeping moving, preventing Kock from controlling successfully. Kock sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kock trying to control but Peieira is working from the bottom. Kock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A close second round but Caio Peieira will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round! Kock displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Peieira. Kock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Peieira uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kock. Peieira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Peieira misses with a hook
and Kock counters with a body kick that stops Peieira in his tracks momentarily. Peieira scores with a nice right hand.
Peieira shoots in for a takedown but Kock shows good takedown defense. Batang Kock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Peieira. Peieira misses the jab. Kock pushes Peieira away with a front kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kock swings away with a leg kick that misses. Peieira with a poor takedown and Kock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kock lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Peieira swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kock throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. And Peieira tries to counter it with a takedown but Kock pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kock changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Peieira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Peieira throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kock on the side of the head. Kock misses with a head kick.
Peieira shoots for a double leg takedown but Kock sprawls well. He's pushed Peieira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kock appears to be looking for a big counter. Peieira loads up on a big right hand but Kock slips the punch. Peieira doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kock counters with an outside leg kick.
Peieira shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peieira showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are battling for position here. Kock manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Batang Kock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kock is trying to control the position but Peieira postures up. Kock is controlling Peieira's posture. Kock wants to sweep here but Peieira controlling him for the moment. Kock is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Peieira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kock!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peieira regains half guard. Kock controlling the pace. Kock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peieira actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kock is taking a breather. Peieira says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Peieira wants to get back to full guard. Peieira is looking to get back to full guard here but Kock has managed to pass to side control instead. Peieira is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kock is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Peieira's shoulder. That is not cool. Kock trying to control the action but Peieira is working from the bottom. Kock remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Peieira tries to buck Kock off but Kock is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kock takes a little break here. Peieira wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Peieira tries to buck Kock off but Kock is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Batang Kock showed his dominance in that final round. I think Peieira has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
