Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rex Gunn (ranked 79 p4p, 358 weight class) and Taylor Jack (ranked 11 p4p, 42 weight class). Gunn's entrance music is Miami. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jack's choice of entrance music: Lucid Dreams. Rex Gunn could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Taylor Jack's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Gunn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 30 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taylor Jack! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn misses with a hook. Jack ducked under it nicely. Jack has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Jack connects with a nice looking jab.
Gunn throws a poor cross that misses
and Jack counters with a nice body kick. Gunn thows a left - swing and a miss! Jack lands a jab. Jack thuds his right hand into Gunn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jack throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A solid body kick from Jack. Gunn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jack. Gunn is looking to counter punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunn throws a right and a left that Jack avoids nicely. Jack throws a push kick but Gunn slaps the foot to one side. Gunn was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Gunn walks into a jab. Gunn throws a combination that misses and Jack counters with a left to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slow jab from Jack misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn scores with a nice head shot. Taylor Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jack throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gunn walks into a jab. Jack lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A slapping leg kick lands for Jack.
Jack is looking to land body kicks. A decent looking cross lands there for Gunn. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jack paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Gunn misses with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jack gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gunn. Jack with a hook. Gunn pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jack is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Gunn with a body shot. Gunn lands with a right hand. Jack lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Gunn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jack thumps Gunn with a low kick. Gunn looks to throw the jab but Jack is out of range. Gunn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jack ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jack throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. It looked like Gunn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Gunn jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack is looking to score with low kicks. A punch lands to the side of Gunn 's head but he takes it in his stride. Jack lands with a nice body kick. A big left from Gunn misses. Gunn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gunn is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Gunn fails to land with a series of punches.
Jack throws a jab when Gunn was well out of range. Jack lands with a right hand. Jack misses with a body kick. Gunn swings widly with a right hand
and Jack counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gunn thinking. Good leg kick by Jack. Jack moves out of range of the strikes. Jack looks to land a left hand but Gunn moved out of range nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunn stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jack. Gunn misses with a straight right. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jack just misses with a punch to the body.

and Gunn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gunn loads up on a big right hand but Jack slips the punch. Gunn swings widly with a right hand

and Jack counters with a stiff right hand. Jack has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Nice defenses there by Jack. A punch lands to the side of Jack 's head but he takes it in his stride. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jack misses with a looping right. Jack throws a quick inside leg kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Taylor Jack dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Donk. Gunn catches Jack right on the button with a cross. Jack cracks Gunn with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Gunn misses with a straight left. Jack avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gunn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jack. Jack misses with a leg kick letting Gunn counter with a right hand. Gunn scores with a sloppy right hand. Jack should have avoided that one.

and Gunn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Gunn looks to throw the jab but Jack is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! That kick from Jack tenderised Gunn's leg. Gunn is trying to keep his angry face on. Jack gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gunn. Jack lands with a good body shot. Gunn misses with a left hand and Jack counters with a nice uppercut. Jack smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gunn. Gunn throws a body punch but Jack moves out of range. Gunn defending well as Jack loads up on a big left hand. Jack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Gunn is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Jack lands a jab. Jack slips a jab from Gunn. Gunn needs to keep his hands up - Jack had a free shot at his head there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack throws a quick inside leg kick. Jab by Jack. Jack keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gunn. Jack throws out a counter right but Gunn avoids it with no problem. Gunn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Jack has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gunn finds it's way round the side to connect with Jack's head. Nice body punch from Jack. Jack missing with a left hand there. Gunn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gunn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jack. Jack has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gunn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jack connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Gunn throws a shot from downtown. Jack moves away and avoids it. Jack misses with a leg kick and Gunn counters with a stiff right hand. Gunn clobbers Jack with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Gunn moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Gunn walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jack ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gunn throws the left hand but Jack avoids the punch easily. Gunn looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Gunn drops Jack with a beautiful combination! Jack stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gunn is looking for the KO! Jack is still on wobbly legs! Can Gunn finish him? The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gunn cracks Jack with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Jack tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gunn pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Jack is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rex Gunn! Rex Gunn retains his featherweight title! Rex Gunn decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
