Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baldomir Barbosa (ranked 802 p4p, 2521 weight class) and CJ Tripp (ranked 113 p4p, 314 weight class). Barbosa comes to the cage accompanied by Unfaithful. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that CJ Tripp was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, CJ Tripp!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tripp with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barbosa to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like CJ Tripp has been cut.
Barbosa thuds a left hand into Tripp's body.
Barbosa throws a poor cross that misses
and Tripp counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A big right from Barbosa misses.
Barbosa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tripp.
Tripp misses with a kick to the body
and Barbosa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tripp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barbosa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've been told by Barbosa's head coaches at The Rubber Guard Emporium that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Tripp misses with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barbosa missing with a left hand there. Tripp was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Barbosa backing away here, and Tripp unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Tripp has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Barbosa throws a right hand that misses
and Tripp counters with a low kick, right behind Barbosa 's knee.
Barbosa throws out a loose jab but Tripp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tripp was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Barbosa catches Tripp with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Barbosa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tripp's hands.
Barbosa lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Tripp is rocked!

That has opened up CJ Tripp's cut even more.
Baldomir Barbosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tripp lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tripp throws a predictable looking body shot
and Barbosa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tripp is still on wobbly legs! Can Barbosa finish him?
Barbosa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Barbosa drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Tripp right on the button. Tripp goes down! Barbosa follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Barbosa gets the win via TKO!
