Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Batang Kock (ranked 1084 p4p, 488 weight class) and Kastav Kvinchal (ranked 54 p4p, 28 weight class). Kock comes to the cage accompanied by I will axe kick you, and I am not careful.. Kvinchal has chosen Gangsta's Paradise as his entrance music. Kastav Kvinchal acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Batang Kock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kastav Kvinchal! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Kock. Kvinchal does a little dance to reset his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Kock. Kvinchal changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kvinchal with a hook. Kock slips under a jab from Kvinchal. Kock went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. A swing and a miss from Kvinchal. Kock thinks about countering with a body kick. Kock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kvinchal throws out the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kvinchal staying out of range there. Kastav Kvinchal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheers as Kvinchal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kock doesn't seem phased though. Kock goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kvinchal dives in and grabs Kock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kock pushes down on Kvinchal's head and hops out. A counter left hand to the body from Kock misses its target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kvinchal tests Kock's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kvinchal connects with a jab. Kvinchal feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kocks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kock lunges at Kvinchal with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kvinchal's hand. Kvinchal chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kock can pounce on him.
Kvinchal fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kvinchal moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kvinchal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Kvinchal misses and Kock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kvinchal misses with a straight right. Kock is looking to counter with a body kick. Kvinchal lands a jab to the nose. Kvinchal takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kock misses with a hook
so Kvinchal counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kock keeping moving, preventing Kvinchal from controlling successfully. Kock seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Kvinchal tries to free his leg and advance position but Kock is retaining full guard. Kvinchal trying to control the position from guard on top but Kock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kock is adopting a defensive guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kvinchal content to stall in guard here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Kock keeping moving, preventing Kvinchal from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kock ducks under a wild hook from Kvinchal. Kock lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Kock ducks under a wild hook from Kvinchal. Kvinchal cracks Kock with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Kock throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. And Kvinchal tries to counter it with a takedown but Kock pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Kvinchal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kock as he jumps to the side. Kock appears to be looking for a big counter. Batang Kock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kastav Kvinchal. Kock doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kvinchal throws a good cross that connects.

Kastav Kvinchal dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Kvinchal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kvinchal throws a sloppy head kick and Kock moves out of range easily. Kvinchal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kock ducks under a wild hook from Kvinchal. Kvinchal misses with a body punch
and Kock counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kvinchal's knee momentarily. A combination from Kock does no damage. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kvinchal lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kock has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kock and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A quick step to the side and Kock tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Kock throws a lazy uppercut
and Kvinchal counters with a takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kvinchal goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kock has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kvinchal but great work by Kock. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kock working the body and head with strikes. Kvinchal is looking for a sweep. Kvinchal wants to control but Kock postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kvinchal is looking to reverse the position. Kvinchal sneaks back into half guard. Kvinchal regains full guard. Nicely done. Kock is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kock trying to control but Kvinchal is working from the bottom. Kock wants to pass the guard but Kvinchal is keeping the position. Kock preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kvinchal looking for a guillotine here but Kock defends easily.
Kock stays in close to Kvinchal's body and controls the position. Kvinchal trying to control the position.
Kvinchal is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kock wants to pass the guard but Kvinchal is keeping the position. Kock wants to get up but he can't break Kvinchal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kvinchal throws the left hand but Kock avoids the punch easily. Kock throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kvinchal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kvinchal checks a leg kick nicely. Kock goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. And Kvinchal tries to counter it with a takedown but Kock pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Batang Kock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kock wants to slow Kvinchal down by chopping away at his legs. Kvinchal gets a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kvinchal is keen to just control but Kock is a slippery customer. Kock moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kock looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kvinchal trying to control but Kock is working from the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kastav Kvinchal will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Kock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kvinchal was well out of range. Poor timing from Kock. And Kvinchal tries to counter it with a takedown but Kock pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kock misses the shot to the body. Kvinchal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kvinchal tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kock is able to avoid easily. Kvinchal shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kock counters with a head kick. Kvinchal throws a jab when Kock was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice jab there from Kvinchal. Kock catches Kvinchal with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Kock. Kvinchal scores with the left hand. Kock knows he should have avoided that one. Kvinchal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kvinchal stuns Kock with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kvinchal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kock as he avoids it easily. Kock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kvinchal throws out the jab. A quick step to the side and Kock tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Kock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Batang Kock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kastav Kvinchal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kock throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kock takes a swing at Kvinchal's ribcage but misses. Kvinchal tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kock is looking to wear down Kvinchal with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kvinchal lands the left hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good leg kick by Kock. Batang Kock is winning the standup battle so far. Kvinchal digs a good hook to Kock's body.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Batang Kock. I think Kvinchal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
