Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoni Gohata (ranked 5986 p4p, 6035 weight class) and Foai Foao (ranked 597 p4p, 605 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Foai Foao was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoni Gohata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Foai Foao!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foao throws a front kick aimed at Gohata's knee but Gohata avoids it well.
Gohata avoids a kick to the body.
Foao clinches with his opponent.
Gohata wants to get back to striking at distance but Foao won't allow it.
Gohata wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Foao has him pressed against the cage.
Foao tries to score a body lock takedown but Gohata shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Gohata is trying to force a seperation but Foao has the dominant position.
Gohata is trying to break the clinch but Foao has him pressed against the cage.
Come on Gohata - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The referee is keeping an eye on Foao - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gohata tries to circle away but Foao has him pinned against the cage.
Gohata pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gohata misses with a head kick.

and Foao counters with a shoot takedown. Gohata fights it but they end up in guard.
Foao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gohata swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Foao is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Foao postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Foao wants to control from the top but Gohata keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foao postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Foao drops back looking for a leg! Gohata is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gohata manages to kick Foao off! Foao jumps back into Gohata's guard.

Foao working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gohata's head.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Foao working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foao passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Foao has hold of Gohata's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gohata seems comfortable defending it but Foao has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gohata is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gohata is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Foao couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Foai Foao!
