Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Hideki Suzuki (ranked 25060 p4p, 23390 weight class) and Julian Wallace (ranked 285 p4p, 279 weight class). Wallace has chosen Smile - Jimmy Durante as his entrance music. Hideki Suzuki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideki Suzuki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julian Wallace! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace throws a head kick that misses. Suzuki was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Suzuki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Wallace throws a right hand that Suzuki ducks under and follows up with a left that Suzuki also avoids with ease. Wallace throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wallace keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Suzuki avoids the head kick by Wallace.
Suzuki moves into the clinch successfully.
Our sources have told us that Suzuki has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Wallace is trying to force a seperation but Suzuki has the dominant position. A hook to the body from Wallace.
Suzuki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Suzuki takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wallace keeps the fight on the outside. Wallace throws out a powerful jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wallace connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Suzuki's hands. Suzuki slips a jab and a cross from Wallace.
Suzuki gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace lands with a light punch inside. Suzuki breaks from the clinch.
Wallace throws a looping overhand right but Suzuki ducks down to avoid it. Wallace scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Suzuki has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wallace manages to break the clinch.
Suzuki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wallace. Wallace swats away the attempt to clinch by Suzuki. Suzuki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wallace looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Suzuki takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wallace lands with a thumping leg kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Wallace scores with a four punch combination! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A head kick misses from Wallace. Suzuki went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Suzuki throws a shot from downtown. Wallace moves away and avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Wallace lands an impressive looking overhand right. Suzuki doesn't seem phased though. A telegraphed right hand from Wallace misses the target. Suzuki misses with a few strikes there.
Suzuki moves into the clinch. Suzuki throws a head punch that misses. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Suzuki breaks the clinch.
Wallace pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Suzuki throws a big counter combination but Wallace scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Suzuki doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallace circles away.
Wallace scores with a jab to the head.
Wallace works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Wallace lands with a shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wallace with the inside leg kick. Wallace lands with a shot to the body. Wallace takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Suzuki takes one on the chin but seems OK.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Julian Wallace dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Wallace clobbers Suzuki with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wallace misses with a series of wild punches.
Hideki Suzuki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Suzuki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wallace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Suzuki tries to clinch but Wallace is having none of it. Suzuki rushes Wallace and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Wallace letting Suzuki take a breather here. Suzuki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wallace lands a glancing blow to the side of Suzuki's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Suzuki appears to be looking for a big counter. A decent looking cross lands there for Wallace. Wallace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Suzuki. Wallace has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suzuki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wallace. Suzuki uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wallace. Wallace scores with a jab to the jaw. Suzuki rushes Wallace and presses him up against the ropes. Wallace can't find room to land a body shot as Suzuki controls the action.
Suzuki throws a head punch that misses. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Suzuki as Wallace tries to tie him up. Suzuki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wallace throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Suzuki tries to clinch but Wallace is having none of it. Wallace connects with a high kick.
Suzuki is rocked! Wallace and Suzuki are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Wallace throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Suzuki into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Wallace knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Julian Wallace! An out of breath Julian Wallace thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. Hideki Suzuki spoke after the fight, saying 'It is what it is'.
